Our teachers come from a wide variety of backgrounds and they have many different passions. Two comments that we often hear about our teachers is that they are approachable and that they love their students.

We would love you to meet them by reading through the brief biographies, and watch their videos on this page:

Sandra Oelofse

Sandra completed her Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) in 2010 at Curtin University. She spent a year teaching in Carnarvon at a Christian school before moving back to Perth to commence teaching at Australian Christian College in 2012. Her passion as an educator is to encourage and facilitate the development and growth in young children. Sandra feels she has been blessed with the opportunity to develop her knowledge in technology and to broaden her teaching pedagogy.

Akila Senanayake

Akila worked in the field of accounting and project management prior to opting for a complete change of career and pursuing her love to work with children. She completed her Bachelor of Primary Education at Murdoch University and joined Australian Christian College in 2014. Akila is passionate about recognising students’ varying learning styles and facilitating learning experiences that enable students to achieve their personal best. She and her husband are senior ministers of Empowered Life Church under the Australian Christian Churches movement.

Hannah Williams

Hannah studied a Bachelor of Sciences (Health Sciences) at Curtin University and went on to follow her passion of teaching by completing a Diploma of Education (Primary) at Murdoch University. She worked at Kalamunda Christian School before joining the Australian Christian College team this year. Hannah is enthusiastic about engaging students in their learning and loves to see her students achieve their learning goals.
