From the Principal

We have hit the ground running this term. The P-2 students began swimming lessons, Year 4-6 trained for the interschool Numero competition, Playgroup continued to grow, and music tuition re-commenced with a new guitar teacher, Jett Harris. And that was

in the first two weeks!

The learning opportunities keep coming, including the Year 4-6 visit to WA Parliament House, auditions for major parts in the Christmas Concert play, a senior choir visit to Manoah Aged Care Facility and performance in the Armadale Christmas Carols by Candlelight. Meanwhile the teachers are working with the children to help them reach their full potential and be best prepared for their next year level.

Life at ACCDD is always exciting and fulfilling, with lots of opportunities for us to learn together, develop character, serve others and grow our community.

“And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.”
2 Corinthians 9:8

Congratulations to Izzy Gonzales, Year 6 for winning the most outstanding entry in her year group in the ‘Black Cockatoo Poster Competition’ which was hosted by the Kelmscott Agricultural Society.

All entries will be on display at the Kelmscott Agricultural Show which is being held from Friday 19th to Saturday 20th October.

ACCDD is committed to working with our community as we continue to improve learning outcomes for our children. As well as having face to face conversations, we also conduct surveys. You would have received a survey recently asking you to rate your satisfaction with ACCDD in such areas as our academic standards, communication and co-curricular activities.

Thank you to all those families who responded. Every response has been read, and, as a staff, we will work together to ensure we address any concerns and suggestions.

The P&F meeting  was held on Tuesday 16th October at 6:00pm.

Australian Christian College Parents and Friends is a great place to connect with other parents. Meetings are held in the evenings, at a reasonable time (6-7pm), so that working parents can attend, while their children are taken care of.

As well as discussing P&F events, Mrs Burrage shares what has been happening, and also what is coming up in the life of the College. Parents are invited to give feedback and make suggestions to help our ACC community grow from strength to strength.

Enrolments for 2019

Places for 2019 are filling up fast, and we are excited about our continued growth, and hope you are too.

If you have a family member, friend, neighbour or colleague who has Primary aged children who would benefit from joining our incredible learning community, let them know we are now open for 2019 enrolments.

Bring them in to meet Mrs Burrage, who will be happy to show them around.

ACC Playgroup

ACC Playgroup is for children 0-4 years old. Feel free to let your friends and neighbours know they are invited. The ACC Playgroup meets every Tuesday morning 9:00am -10:30am.
