From the Principal
Forgiveness is extremely important when building strong relationships. Whether it’s a family member who has disappointed us, or a friend who has left us out, we are all faced with the choice of whether to forgive or hold onto a grudge.
Some people perceive forgiveness as a sign of weakness or submission. Unforgiveness seems to be a negative emotional state where an offended person maintains feelings of resentment, hostility, anger and even revenge against the one who offended them.
In one study, people were asked to recall a grudge, and their blood pressure and heart rate increased, and they sweated more, showing signs of elevated stress. When asked to try to empathise or imagine forgiving their offenders, their physical reactions went down.
It’s no wonder God tells us to forgive one another. As the creator of our bodies, He knows what will serve us well, and what will create stress. MRI scans show the positive effects on the brain that forgiving a person can have.
Although sometimes not easy, forgiveness is the better way to live: for our own health and also modelling loving behaviour to our children.
“Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.” Colossians 3:13

We are looking for parent volunteers that can help operate the stall between these hours for at least an hour or so. Please look for the roster in the office and pencil in a time if you can assist.
If anyone has any questions regarding the Spud Shed Stall Fundraiser or any suggestions for the P and F please contact Mrs Jade Turner on 0411 202 964.
